Republican. Democrat. Libertarian?

Obama is polling at 48 percent, Romney at 47 percent, and Gary Johnson is polling at 4 percent, hey wait who the hell is Gary Johnson? That’s right folks there is someone other than the two mainstream candidates running for president! Most people who read pro-Johnson rants assume the person has little knowledge of politics, and that any vote for a third-party will take a win away from the republican candidate. But is this thinking really morally or even patriotically correct? Why do Americans vote? We vote because a) We think we are choosing an individual to represent our values and ideals here and abroad, and b) Because we believe it is that patriotic thing to do. So my question to those who believe a vote for a third party is a wasted vote, why do you believe that? Let me guess, you have heard that Gary Johnson, or Jill stein or whoever chooses to run in an outsider party, can never win the presidency. Let’s think about why that is a fact, because it is.

Media Propaganda

Photobucket
Who controls the media? The top of the food chain boils down to Time Warner corp., Viacom, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, and Disney. What agenda’s do they have? Well we know that Murdoch’s News Corporation owns FOX news here in the states, and that Time Warner owns CNN. The founder of CNN was Ted Turner, who recently when asked where he sees America’s role in the New World Order replied by saying he thinks the U.N. should be the police of the world. His agenda clearly does not include a free thinking Libertarian or Green Party candidate who wants the U.N. out of our lives. Now, Rupert Murdoch is better known for his lying malicious cut-throat News network that is clearly biased while claiming to be ‘Fair and Balanced’. So one simply needs to ask, why would these networks cover a third party candidate?

Vote for Freedom, Not a Party

It seems to me that as thinking intelligent Americans we should be more focused on what representative will live by our constitution while in office, then who can win. Barack Obama has already proven the constitution to be unimportant to him. Mitt Romney preaches tax cuts to millionaires, and seems to be more focused on this then discussing important issues such as ending the fed and the illegal income tax. For me personally, I like what Gary Johnson says and his ideas. I like the thought of ending the War on Drugs and ending the Fed. In two days I will be voting for a president that has my interests at heart and who cares about the real issues. And that to me isn’t a wasted vote it’s a vote for freedom.

Mitt Romney's French Connection

Vietnam, the United States single most dividing war in its history. Over 58,000 men (with the exception of about 7,500 women) lost their lives, with 2.6 million individuals serving during wartime. Politicians like John McCain and John Kerry have famously served their country both being awarded the Purple Heart. Then there is Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican Presidential Nominee. The man that has a net worth of 250 million dollars. What exactly was his role during the Vietnam War?

During the 20 years that the U.S. was involved in Vietnam, Mitt Romney was a young man. However, he somehow managed to avoid the draft and found time to protest against those who protested the war. He was against the sit ins taking place across the country at the time. But what was it the enabled him to avoid fighting a battle that he was so eager to send other young men to? It turns out Mitt Romney received what is called Missionary Deferment. In fact, he received not one, not two, but THREE deferments. He spent the majority of the Vietnam years overseas in France writing love letters to Ann his then sweetheart back in the States. Yes the wine drinking, cigarette smoking, caffeine addicted people of France were in need of Mormons knocking on their doors. Mitt Romney could not simply leave the poor people of France alone searching for God in their false churches and selfish ideologies. After the war had passed and people had time to question where he was during those treacherous years Mitt Romney said he was never running away from the draft, and that he felt' frustrated' he could not serve his country during those years, although he also said it was never his desire to serve in Vietnam.

Mitt Romney the Draft Dodging Warmonger

Fast forward 37 years later and we have Mitt Romney pushing war with Iran on the American people. Throughout his campaign Romney has continually called out President Obama for not doing enough to keep a nuclear device out of the hands of the Iranians, and has said over and over how he would have never let Iran get as far as they have towards building a nuclear device. He would have done more in the form of

military action. You see, Mitt Romney would have never served his country by actually fighting in a war, but instead asks to serve the country by putting others on the front line. It is amazing how politicians and those in power are so quick to push war on the world, while at the same time refuse to take part in the battle itself. But there are a select few who wish to project peace out onto the world. Men like Ron Paul, who has served our country as a flight surgeon, and Gary Johnson who does not want more unnecessary war that does nothing but benefit world banks. However, Mitt Romney is nothing but content with beating war drums while he stays a safe distance away in one of his mansions. And that is Mitt Romney's French connection. Accepting Mitt Romney as pro-veteran is like accepting Obama as pro-capitalist, it means nothing and is a false representation of his true history. Remember that the next time someone says their candidate cares about the veterans.

The Obama Welfare State

Are Republicans over-exaggerating when they say Obama has created a welfare state in America? Is there real hard evidence to support this claim? Well, recent numbers indicate there is a major increase in welfare program spending up 32 % since President Obama took office. Over a trillion dollars have been spent on low-income programs as of 2011 (this number includes state spending). What does this mean? It means that the federal government now spends more money on welfare than on social security.

Safety net or Dependency by Design?

So what does this say about our Nation? What does it say about the administration now in office? While welfare programs are necessary and provide a safety net for those unable to take care of themselves for whatever reason, it is undeniable that there is widespread abuse of these programs. For example, there has been great debate over the so-called Obama phones recently. The video below is the epitome of dependency and a prime example of political bribery.

These so-called Obama phones really have little to nothing to do with Obama. The program to ensure low-income individuals have access to telephone service started under the Regan administration, but today are supported by the Link-up and Lifeline programs. Therefore, dependency on the government for handouts and other such goodies is a bipartisan trick. So the next time you hear someone touting Obama's welfare reforms, inform them of the massive debt our country is in and compare that with how unimportant their damn phones are. Because the welfare state does not depend on Obama being president, it depends on the ease with which we can be bribed.

Liberty is a Women's Issue

In this year's 2012 presidential campaign many issues have been debated, but at the front line of the campaigns have been women's issues. What many people fail to realize, however, is that many of the topics of discussion are merely a distraction and are clearly meant to divide the general populace. For example, Sandra Fluke testified before Congress in favor of the Affordable Care Act. She argued that as a woman she should have access to contraceptives and reproductive healthcare. The argument was based on the idea that a woman should be protected by the government from her employers. While to some extent her statements rang true to women everywhere, an underlying implication was put forth: The government should force a commodity on a private insurance group. I do not disagree that equality must continue to be fought for in this country, nor do I disagree that medications that treat ovarian cysts and other reproductive issues should be covered in insurance polices. But I believe many people are missing a major part of women's issues, they aren't only women's issues. As women we want equality, freedom to have equal pay, and freedom to hold a job we enjoy doing. We want our children to grow up and be happy, healthy, and educated adults. Liberty and freedom are issues that affect all people regardless of their race, gender, or sexual orientation. As women it is not simply a matter of protecting our rights, if we fight to protect civil liberties for all we will do ourselves and our nation a true service. We must untie with other liberty lovers and freedom fighters to develop a system that helps us regain control of our country.Ours should never be an argument based on religious rhetoric or moral dogma. It is really quite simple, if liberty is our goal it should be liberty for all, not only for small individual groups that make up our nation. That is the true women's issue.

What in the World are We Eating? (The truth about MSG and GMOs)

Across the nation concerns over non-organic vegetables and poisonous additives have encouraged people, like myself, to do more research on what it is exactly that we are consuming. I want to know not only what is in that bag of Doritos that I may causally eat, but also how it may affect my health and that of my family.

MSGs do What?

Many people would be surprised to hear the results of numerous studies on MSG or monosodium glutamate, a common food flavoring. MSG is in everything from the aforementioned Doritos to Hamburger Helper. But according to a 2003 study conducted by the Department for Public Health in Poland, MSG was found to depress serum of growth hormones which affects how drugs are metabolized in the body thereby increasing sensitivity to some environmental agents. This can prove deadly to individuals with autoimmune diseases. In addition, the Industrial Toxicology Research Centre in India found that MSG causes rats to develop learning disorders. However, MSG is not recognized in the mainstream as dangerous to human health.

GMOs or Franken-Food?

GMOs or Genetically Modified Organisms, have caught the attention of the American public in recent years. The company behind GMO food is Monsanto. The company specializes in altering the DNA of plants. This science experiment has had virtually no human studies conducted proving them as safe. However, this year a study was released by a team of French scientists indicating the negative aspects of GMOs. Results of their study showed an increase in mammary tumors of female rats and life-threatening kidney and liver problems in the males.  The question to the American public should therefore be, why are we eating these foods?

At the very least shouldn't we be asking why cancer rates are so high (with approximately 1 in 2 men and women being diagnosed with cancer)? Shouldn't we at least study any possible side-effects genetically modified food can have on human beings? How stupid are we that we refuse to study Frankenstein food before we consume it. The fact is that GMOs have been available and readily consumed by Americans for over 10 years. However, no one has studied the possible link between cancer and what we are eating.

Medical Marijuana in Arkansas: A vote for Freedom

A groundbreaking issue will be on the Arkansas ballot this election season: Medical Marijuana. Arkansas (my current home state) is the first southern state to allow the issue ballot access. Arkansans for Compassionate Care were required to gather over 62,000 signatures for their petition to be eligible for the ballot. They doubled this requirement. Along with access to a virtually side-effect free drug, the law would provide patients with the freedom to grow a marijuana plant if they live more than five miles away from a dispensary. Individuals who theoretically would be covered under the law include cancer patients and HIV positive persons. While this could be considered a victory for liberty lovers, and of course those who desperately need relief from poisonous big pharma drugs, it is still confusing why we must plead with our government to receive treatment for what ails us.
On issues such as this it is important to vote. So often those of us who are aware of what is really going on become disheartened when it comes to voting. However, if you care about liberty and freedom it is important to vote for these issues. The aforementioned Arkansans for Compassionate Care Act will be issue #5 on the ballot, and I urge anyone residing in the state to support the initiative by voting this election year. Others should support their local liberty and freedom movements, because the more we stand up for what we believe in (namely the freedom to do as we please as long it doesn't harm our neighbor) others will be forced to acknowledge the presence of true Americans.

Innocence of Muslims or Ignorance of Millions?

Blasted across news outlets everywhere is the violent protests taking place over a 13 minute YouTube movie trailer. Because the prophet Muhammad is depicted in physical form, the film is considered blasphemous to the Muslim religion. However, there are aspects about the film's producer that many people may be unaware of.

No. 1 The alleged film maker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was in fact convicted of fraud and is a felon. He is also known to use fake identities to cover up his actions.

No. 2 Nakoula was a CIA informant, and his attorneys had hoped this would give them bargaining power in the case against Nakoula.

No. 3 The producer completely misled actors involved with the film. Actors and actresses who played various characters in the film feel betrayed, and had no idea the movie was in any way directed against Muslims.Later they dubbed over much of the film creating an entirely different storyline.

Although all three of these points are completely factual, the mainstream media is trying its best to avoid them. Not only are these statements factual they are essential to piecing together why the film has had as big an impact as it has. Think about it. Why would a 'former' CIA informant mislead actors to create a low budget anti-Islam movie? Why would the film have such an impact on the Muslim world when it went largely unnoticed in the United States (the trailer has been available online since July)? And why would the mainstream media hype protests worldwide when even Secretary of State Hilliary Clinton admits these protests are small groups of people (did somebody say al-Qadea?) Questions remain, but there are undoubtedly some strange connections between the filmmaker and  those who really run our government.
