Strip Searched for Nothing?

Mark it on your calendar, April 1st 2012 it is now officially legal for authorities to strip search anyone stopped for any offense, including minor ones. Forgot to put your seat belt on? Strip searched. Run through a stop sign? Strip searched. Accidentally make an illegal U-turn? Strip searched. What does it say about our country when the highest court in the land decides we are guilty until proven innocent? What kind of rights are we left with when police officers are allowed to probe our most intimate areas for items that are more often than not, not there?

While I fully understand that the police force has a very dangerous and important job, I question their authority to judge everyday citizens who are stopped for minor offenses. Do not misunderstand, strip searching is a vital right that police officers must have, in PRISONS. Now I'm open to suggestions here, but I do not think being pulled over for driving without a seat belt is the equivalent to being a convict. America we have to really think about what is going on around us and if there is anything we won't put up with.
