Illegal drugs are a topic of hot debate in this country because of the effects they can have on us. Drugs like heroin and methamphetamine have drastic consequences for those who come under their influence. However, there are milder drugs such as Marijuana that have positive effects on people with numerous health problems. Why is it beyond the limits of freedom to use this so-called 'drug'? So why, if the majority of Americans feel their fellow citizens should be allowed to use marijuana, does the government repress such freedom? Well there are several factors that I will briefly examine here.
